In a major city like Los Angeles we understand you have many different choices when it comes to taking the step to drug addiction recovery. At the Gooden Center, we offer a different option for men who want to seek treatment for alcohol and drug addiction.
We believe in several principles for recovery and treatment that make our program unique when compared to the other programs at different drug treatment center facilities in Los Angeles. Our unique program options and our variety of different treatment components provide our clients with a continuum of care. We have a program that focuses on the individual and on helping develop unique, personal and tailored treatments for each client.
For Men
Gooden Center has always provided service to men in recovery. We provide this gender specific residential treatment option to help address the unique aspects of recovery that are different for men than for women.
The original founders of the Gooden Center started the program for men in 1962, and we continue with this tradition. However, we do provide services to the entire family through our family education and family alumni gatherings.
We also provide a co-ed program nearby the Claremont College campus. Our office is called The Village, and we provide outpatient recovery services for men and women in both individual and group sessions.
Payment Options
Unlike many Los Angeles drug treatment center programs, we accept most major types of insurance, and we will work with you and your provider. In addition, some of our Alumni generously contribute to a scholarship program to help clients without insurance to cover some or all of the cost.
We also have one of the lowest costs of treatment available, and we pride ourselves in being able to offer services to as many people as possible.
Certifications and Programs
The Gooden Center is accredited through CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities), and although they have exacting standards we work to have the best possible facility.
We use only research-based programs and completely personalize treatment plans based on integrating the individual into the community at Gooden Center. With an emphasis on the 12 Step Program combined with individual recovery counseling, group sessions and lots of activities, our clients learn skills and life management practices to help them to go back to their homes and families and lead a sober, drug free life.
