What is the best choice for continuing care as your client/patient transitions out of primary treatment?
The Gooden Center is an excellent extended care complement to your inpatient/primary program. While we utilize ASAM placement criteria in assigning a level of care, most clients enter into residential treatment or day treatment at The Gooden Center and later transition into Intensive Outpatient (IOP). Many also reside in one of our sober living houses while in Day Treatment or IOP with us. Our admissions counselor will consult with you on any goals your client needs to focus on as he transitions out of your program.
If cost is an obstacle, where else can you refer someone for treatment?
For some, paying privately for treatment is not a problem. However, if your program’s cost is not within reach, you want to refer to another excellent program. Our rates are among the most affordable drug treatment in Southern California. We are also contracted with 15 major health insurance plans. Through the generosity of our alumni and donors, some scholarships can be provided as funding becomes available.
Where can you find reliable sober living in the Los Angeles area?
The need for reliable sober living is great. We have capacity for 41 sober living residents in houses, apartments and cottages. Our sober living residents must be in our Day Treatment or Intensive Outpatient program. IOP clients are working or pursuing college studies. They gather weekly for a resident council meeting and abide by curfew and random u.a. testing requirements. Meals are included.
Where can you send your patient/client where he can get a job, live in sober living and participate in outpatient sessions nearby?
Clients transitioning into extended care from an outside primary or inpatient program often meet our placement criteria for Intensive Outpatient and live in one of our sober living houses or cottages. We provide job coaching and jobs group. All clients in sober living must meet requirements for work/school. We also provide free after care for life. Sober living at The Gooden Center is CARF accredited.
