The Tony Fernandez Memorial Scholarship Fund

July 1st 2020 was a sad day. Not only did a family lose a father and a husband, but The Gooden Center lost a voice and a laugh that all have come to cherish.

Tony Fernandez was that certain type of Gooden Center Alum that you always wanted to keep coming back. The guy that would readily engage anyone and everyone. That would expound upon how recovery had saved his life. That would typically be found outside talking to whomever was newest in treatment about the benefits of a life lived on life’s terms.

In an attempt to continue the legacy of service that Tony helped to establish, his wife and Gooden Center Board member Stacy helped to establish THE TONY FERNANDEZ MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND.

A vinyl collection of the music of Tony Fernandez, SHINE YOUR LIGHT ON, is compromised of 15 songs by Tony’s band MISTER BANJO. Each song is represented by a piece of original art, created specifically for this album. The result is a gorgeous collection of music and art.
