IOP sessions for outpatient rehab clients, are three hours in length and take place Tuesday through Saturday with sessions in the morning and evening to accommodate work and school schedules. IOP clients may live near to our outpatient rehabilitation center. Groups take place at one of our nearby facilities, where a room is set up in close proximity to resident living quarters.
Clients most appropriate for Intensive Outpatient Treatment include:
Those who have completed our Residential drug treatment programs or day treatment and chose to continue at The Gooden Center in evening or Saturday sessions after returning to work or school.
Clients for whom their alcoholism or drug addiction has not reached the level of severity that would qualify them for residential or day treatment.
Those who find it difficult to maintain their sobriety even though they are participating in a 12-step fellowship.
When you transition from residential treatment facilities or day treatment into Intensive Outpatient you are extending you length of care. Considerable research has demonstrated that periods of extended drug and alcohol treatment enhance the prospect for lasting recovery.
